Aimee is a nationally certified and Arizona State licensed speech-language pathologist, practicing professionally since 2000. Her extensive professional experiences enabled her to work with the pediatric population, from neonates to adolescents, with varying strengths, challenges and diagnoses. Aimee provided services across a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools and home environments. Her positions at Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona and University of Florida Health Shands Hospital provided her with inpatient and outpatient feeding and swallowing practices. In Milpitas, California, Aimee partnered with Cisco Family Connection, a campus based child development center for Cisco employees, to develop and integrate an on-site speech and language program. Most recently, Aimee serviced developmentally delayed preschoolers in the PANDA program at Scottsdale Unified School District.
Aimee's clinical knowledge allows her to effectively identify, evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide variety of communication, speech, language, social, oral-motor/sensory and feeding/swallowing disorders. When servicing all children, Aimee creates individualized treatment plans and targets functional goals through activity and play-based approaches. Within the classroom, she supports using assistive technology to enhance the communication process and differentiating language-based activities. Aimee plays an integral role on multidisciplinary teams, providing education and training to staff and families. Currently, she specializes in fostering early childhood speech and language development in naturalistic environments. Aimee finds great joy assisting children and their families and seeing each child reach their potential. She lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband and two children.
